Job Overview

In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.

 

A full-time clinical research professional position is available in the Department of Radiology. Our imaging services are growing rapidly, and we are currently seeking a full-time, office-based clinical research professional to join our team who will provide technical support and assistance for the Radiology Department. Duties can span a broad range of activities but will primarily focus on imaging related clinical research functions associated with the Radiology Imaging Services Core Lab at the University of Cincinnati. The job title for the final candidate of Clinical Research Professional I or Clinical Research Professional II will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions

  • Plan and coordinate clinical research projects, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Contribute to protocol development and document standard research procedures.
  • Support administrative tasks within the Radiology Imaging Services Core Lab, including scheduling and billing coordination.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for clinical centers in multi-center research studies.
  • Develop study materials and assist in training imaging site personnel.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of imaging infrastructure for clinical trials.
  • Ensure adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Screen, recruit, and obtain informed consent from study participants.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of imaging data.
  • Assist study teams with a variety of research-related activities.
  • Collect and enter clinical data required by study sponsors in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Use proprietary software for medical image analysis and segmentation.
  • Assist in preparing data for DSMB reviews and in drafting manuscripts and presentations for national conferences.
  • Maintain regulatory documents and assist with the preparation of required forms according to study protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with core lab staff and leadership to ensure cohesive study execution.

Minimum Requirements

Clinical Research Professional I:

Required Education

  • B.S. Degree in healthcare, biology, engineering or other relevant field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirements.

Required Experience
One (1) year of related experience

Clinical Research Professional II:

Required Education

  • B.S. Degree in healthcare, biology, engineering or other relevant field.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirements.

Required Experience 
Three (3) years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • MS degree or higher training.
  • Working experience in a medical, academic or radiology or neurology environment.
  • Experience with using RedCap.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, good follow-up, and judgment and prioritize.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with staff, physicians, nurses, managers, trial sponsors and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively for reading and writing e-mail, letters, Manual of Operations, Case Report Forms, and other reports or company documents.
