As among the oldest nursing schools in the country, the UC College of Nursing is a model of transdisciplinary research recognized for its impact and innovation. To further expand our strategic mission, we are hiring a part-time Clinical Research Professional to support research efforts on a grant funded project with duration through November 2025. 
 

Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Nursing is seeking applicants for a part-time Clinical Research Professional position to work on remotely. Candidates must reside in the Tri-state area Ohio, Indiana or Kentucky. Primary responsibilities associated with the position include recruiting research participants, conducting qualitative research interviews, collecting data, data quality assurance, and records keeping. 

 

This is a grant funded research project. Project title: Oral self-care to reduce oral health disparities in the population with diabetes. 

 

The purpose of the larger study is to develop a web-based oral self-care education and behavioral intervention program (DiaOral) and pilot test its usability and feasibility among expert panels and diabetes patients. 

This position will largely be conducted remotely and does not require on site visit to UC main campus, except for occasional team building meetings or trainings. This is a part time position, with an average weekly commitment of between 10 and 20 hours (depending on availability). The person selected for this position will also have opportunities to contribute to research manuscripts, if aligned with their career goals. 

The duration of the position is projected for 18 months depending on applicant’s availability. There may be potential for the position to be extended to 3 months depending on the alignment of applicant’s skills and future funds available. 
 

Essential Functions

Recruit study participants and conduct informed consent with prospective participants.
• Conduct qualitative interviews and data collections.
• Built rapport with participants and with collaborators. 
• Prepare study material as requested by the Principal Investigator. These materials include, but are not limited to, study protocol, inform consent forms, case report     forms, participants instructions, enrollment logs, etc.
• Coordinate appropriate payments to the participants and research related purchases.
• Coordinate research project meetings and manage meeting minutes and research project documents.
• Perform related duties based on departmental needs.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree must be in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • One (1) year of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

· Previous experience with clinical studies in oral health and diabetes.

· Completed Citi training about human subject protection.

· Familiarity with RedCap data collection system.
