Essential Function

Day-to-day administration of specialized activities related to a diversified unit including conducting research and collecting/managing/analyzing data which aid in the generation of reports to management. Provide recommendation and advice to management or other groups on process related topics and conduct or carry out work procedures and activities in accordance with local, state, federal, and university regulations.

 

Characteristic Duties

The College of Medicine is seeking a Business Manager to perform the following duties:

  • Manage the financial, administrative, and operational activities of a large and diversified unit with a considerable income generation component.
  • Coordinate budget preparation.
  • Evaluation and problem investigation.
  • Ensuring high quality data is collected and integrity of the data.
  • Processing of data and developing reports on various projects. Reconcile data between various reports and system sources.
  • Analysis of information using various statistical methods and determining patterns in data.
  • Conceptualization of data and sharing this knowledge through effective presentation of the data output with the rest of the team and key stakeholders.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; with three (3) years’ experience; - OR- Associate's degree and five (5) years’ experience; -OR- seven (7) years’ experience; degree must be in Business Administration or related field.   Financial and administrative experience is required and must include one (1) year supervision.  Proficient in Microsoft Office, with extensive knowledge of Excel and Access.
