The College of Engineering and Applied Science is seeking a Building Service Coordinator to support the colleges day-to-day facilities operations. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Under general supervision from a designated administrator, coordinate and oversee moves, events, equipment and furnishing, receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies, and report, plans and coordinates repairs.

  • Office and lab moves;  coordinate facility work orders and associated phone, data and key orders
  • Gas cylinder deliveries and returns
  • Equipment and material handling to labs and offices
  • Loading dock deliveries from outside vendors and distributing to appropriate offices or labs
  • Grounds and moving contact
  • Forklift backup for maintenance and operation
  • Surplus furniture and equipment, Deliver items to Surplus
  • Recycle of equipment within the College, ex. Refrigerator, and deliver items to the recycle facilities
  • Shred bins for disposal
  • Maintain cleanliness and working order of building spaces, such as conference rooms, classrooms, elevators, bathrooms and loading docks;  Report, plan and coordinate repairs
  • Clean and maintain hallways, picking up empty boxes, monitors, all items left in the hallways by departments
  • Assist in inputting Facilities related work orders
  • Special deliveries
  • College events, set up and break-down
  • May supervise or coordinate special projects
  • Perform related duties based on departmental needs


Applicant must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to follow detailed/complex instructions. Good communication skills are needed, as well as ability to multi-task.


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years; -OR- Associate’s degree with five (5) years experience; -Or- seven (7) years experience. Experience must be in a related field. Experience must include at three (3) years of supervision.  


Preferred Qualifications: Proficient with Microsoft Office. Should be able to lift 60-100 pounds.

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
