Job Overview

The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.
A full-time Associate To staff position is available in the Department of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
The Department of Radiology is seeking a proactive, highly organized Associate to Chair to support the Department Chair. This role serves as the primary administrative partner to the Department Chair and will provide a wide range of administrative services to support the Chair and the Department of Radiology. The Associate to Chair must be fully aware of the Chair’s schedule and priorities, be prepared to make rapid changes to arrangements, and alert the Chair to potential scheduling conflicts and priorities. The demands placed on the Chair are such that this person relies on the Associate to carry out the duties of this position with little or no direction.
Essential Functions
- Manage complex calendars, communications, events, and special projects.
- Handle complex situations as they arise, while maintaining utmost confidentiality of faculty records and/or discussions.
- Coordinate calendars for travel, meetings, and schedule arrangements for the Chair
- Provide administrative support to functions related to the management of faculty appointments, tenure and promotion procedures including corresponding and providing guidance to external referees, reviewing and collating files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the Annual Performance Review for Faculty by updating reviews, performing data entry and arranging meetings.
- Assist with large-scale events planned in the Chair’s Office such as conferences and workshops, including but not limited to corresponding with attendees, monitoring registration, set-up of facilities.
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Eight (8) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Four (4) years of experience in a related field. Experience may require one (1) year supervision.

- Demonstration of sound judgment, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced academic medical environment.
- Strong project management skills with attention to details.
- High understanding of confidentiality and the importance of integrity.
- Able to handle information with the highest level of confidence.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with high proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with a demonstrated ability to handle senior leaders, faculty, staff, and trainees with tact and diplomacy.
- One (1) year supervision.
- Experience managing the priorities of a senior leader with complex tasks, competing demands and changing priorities.
