About The Linder College of Business
The University of Cincinnati (UC) is designated as a Research 1 institution based on research activity by the Carnegie Commission. The Lindner College of Business is part of a comprehensive research institution that is the second largest state university in Ohio, with a total enrollment of over 50,000 students. The College enrolls over 5,000 undergraduates and approximately 1,200 master’s students (including online), and our programs are fully accredited by the AACSB. The Department has twelve full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members as well as eleven educator faculty in the areas of organizational behavior, strategy, international business, and entrepreneurship. We also have an active doctoral program that ranges from 40 to 50 students within the college and 6-9 students within the department.
Our faculty members are actively engaged in research and publish in the leading journals, including: Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Organization Science, Personnel Psychology, and Strategic Management Journal. In addition to a strong research culture, our Department is committed to quality teaching.

Job Overview
The Department of Management of the University of Cincinnati’s Lindner College of Business is seeking applications for a tenured Associate Professor faculty position in the area of management (broadly defined), intended to begin in Fall 2026.
This position is only open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents (due to tenure).
Essential Functions
- Conduct research and publish in the candidate’s area of expertise in management;
- Teach core and elective courses in areas related to their discipline; and
- Engage in service duties such as but not limited to mentoring doctoral students and serving on departmental and college committees.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to start date of this position, all of the following are required:
- PhD (doctorate) in Management or one of its sub-disciplines (e.g., Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship) or a closely related field (e.g., Industrial-organizational psychology) from an AACSB accredited university.
- Must demonstrate an active and productive research program.
- Must have a strong track record of teaching at multiple levels or across different courses.
