The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy is located on the Health Sciences Campus at the University of Cincinnati, in close proximity to Cincinnati's Children's Hospital, the Cincinnati Veteran's Administration Hospital, and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, as well as the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Professions which facilitates partnerships in teaching and research with the faculty from these units.

Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month faculty position in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor focused in one or more practice areas, including, but not limited to:
- Internal medicine
- Critical care medicine
- Infectious disease
- Cardiology
- Surgery
Rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials.
Essential Functions
- Primary responsibilities will include didactic and experiential teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy program.
- Establishment and maintenance of a progressive clinical pharmacy practice through creation of clinical initiatives, participating in interprofessional healthcare teams, administrative clinical tasks including formulary and policy contributions at UCMC, and establishment of new pharmacy-led medication management protocols.
- Development/maintenance of a productive research pipeline through engaging in pharmacy-related research, publishing in peer-reviewed literature, or obtaining extramural funding for research.
- Engagement in service activities at the college, regional, and/or national level such as but not limited to participating in college committees, obtaining leadership positions in pharmacy-related professional organizations, and serving as college representative at local, state, and/or national meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school prior to time of application
AND
All of the following prior to effective date of appointment:
- Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Ohio
- Completion of a one-year ASHP-accredited residency or fellowship, or 3 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience
- Eligible for Board Certification in one (1) of the 15 Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
- Two years of previous healthcare teaching or precepting experience
- Demonstrated research productivity through at least 2 publications of original research yearly for at least 2 years (total of 4) or public grant funding of at least $10,000 within the last 2 years
