Job Overview
The Office of the University Registrar is hiring an Assistant Registrar to assist in day-to-day management and execution of registration, records management, and student support operations. This role will serve as the primary liaison to provide support for University of Cincinnati Online. This position may allow a hybrid work schedule arrangement.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the management of, and personally execute daily tasks related to student registration, records management, grading, transcripts, and graduation processes.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of student academic records, ensuring compliance with university policies and regulations.
- Interpret and apply federal, state, and institutional policies, including FERPA and other regulations governing student records.
- Serve as liaison between the Office of the University Registrar and University of Cincinnati Online.
- Support the development and implementation of office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Assist in the management, implementation, and maintenance of student information systems and related technologies.
- Provide support for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and data integrity initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and alumni, providing guidance and support on registration, records, and policy-related inquiries.
- Resolve routine and minor escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with academic departments and administrative offices to support institutional goals and student success initiatives.
- Represent the Office of the University Registrar on committees and working groups as assigned.
- Supervise student workers, or interns, including training, assigning tasks, and providing performance feedback.

Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Nine (9) years of relevant education, experience and/or other specialized training can fulfill minimum education and experience requirements
Required Experience
- Five (5) years of experience in a registrar’s office or related administrative role in higher education.
- Familiarity with student information systems and records management
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Experience working with non-traditional and/or distance learners.
- Experience working with a student information system or constituent relational management system (e.g. Peoplesoft, Banner, Workday, Salesforce, Slate).
