A full-time Assistant Registrar staff position is available with the Office of Student Affairs at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. 

 

This person will assist the directing Associate Registrar in the day-to-day management and execution of Office of the University Registrar registration, records management and student support operations.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the management of, and personally execute functions and tasks for, Office of the University Registrar day-to-day registration and/or records-management business operations, administrative duties, and student support services, and serve as a resource person in one or more office areas.
  • Interpret and apply applicable federal, state, and university rules and regulations.
  • Recommend to the Associate Registrar and University Registrar, and subsequently implement, new and/or updated office policies and procedures.
  • Assist the introduction, management, modification and upgrade of office-related student-information and/or web-utility systems.
  • Assist as applicable in the design, implementation and update of measures, initiatives, policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy, integrity, privacy, and security of student academic records.
  • Work collaboratively with university academic administration and non-academic units on student support initiatives and represent the Office of the University Registrar on university committees.
  • Provide consultation and support assistance to students, faculty, staff, alumni and the public. May prepare or support the preparation of reports for the office, the university and other agencies.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/terminations, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of relevant experience in an institution of higher education.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Previous supervisory experience.
