The University of Cincinnati, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking an academic and clinical endocrinologist. The Division has a strong record of research leadership and mentoring. Clinical opportunities include Diabetes, Obesity and Transgender Care. Opportunities exist for collaboration with pediatric division at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in clinical care of transition patients and research projects.
Essential Functions
Perform clinical and some research tasks, (including obtaining consent from patients in a HIPAA compliant environment), learning Epic data entry, clinic operations, research techniques both on our campus and off-campus with our collaborators/colleagues, data compilation and IRB document preparation for Endocrinology patients within a complex academic medical center.
• See patients in the outpatient clinics, fellows’ clinics and inpatient setting, at least 50% Diabetes focus required,
• Perform exams, write H & Ps, submit level of Evaluation & Management coding, perform procedures at various UC Health or UCH-contracted facilities,
• Interact with peers, residents and fellows as needed,
• Be responsible for personal and general health and safety laboratory issues,
• Participate in Medical Grand Rounds, seminars, and conferences at both UCMC and CCHMC locations.
• Assist with examination and care of clinical trial patients. Collect, store, and draw specimens as determined per research protocols.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a M.D., MD/PhD degree or equivalent. Board Eligible or Board Certified Endocrinologist. Candidate must be eligible for medical licensure in Ohio.
