Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College seeks applications for one for a full-time Assistant Professor - Educator position intended to begin August 15, 2026. This position is a non-tenure eligible Assistant Professor - Educator. The initial term is three years and is renewable upon satisfactory performance. The retention and promotion criteria for Educator faculty emphasize teaching excellence, commitment to professional development, and service. Research productivity is not expected or evaluated, but is permitted and supported.
 

Essential Functions

  • Teaching a 4/4 load of courses, including but not limited to Introduction to Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Business Communication, and first and second-year communication electives.
  • Teaching courses in a variety of formats (face-to-face, online, Hy flex and/or hybrid)
  • Holding a minimum of four office hours per week.
  • Participating in program assessment and curriculum development.
  • Participating in department, college, and/or university service, such as serving on the department student awards committee, the college technology committee, and/or the college faculty development committee.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities related to pedagogy and/or one's discipline, including, but not limited to, attending conferences or workshops. 

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior to effective date of appointment, all of the following are required:
    ·    A PhD in communication or a closely related field.
    ·    Three academic years of experience teaching communication at the college level.

Salary Information: $63,000
