Job Overview

In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Surgery, a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff is recruiting a full-time non-tenure clinical track faculty position in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  The successful applicant will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits and the final rank/title will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Clinical, research and teaching activities of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents. 
  • Patient care responsibilities include diagnosis of problems of the oral and maxillofacial regions and performing surgery for maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, TMJ disorders, dental implants, pathology of the jaws, ambulatory anesthesia, and dentoalveolar surgery. 
  • Plan, direct and coordinate research activities. Participate in the faculty practice and resident supervision in operating room and ward teaching and directing activities of surgical trainees and medical students.

Minimum Requirements

Prior to effective date of the appointment all the following are required: 

  • DDS or DMD
  • Licensure by Ohio Dental Board
  • Completion of Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (defined by 48 months’ training)
  • American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery eligible or certified
