The Division of Student Affairs is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards. This position reports to our Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards and is responsible for the following:


Position Responsibilities

  • Manages Title IX cases by reviewing reports, assigning charges, meeting with all parties involved in cases to inform them of their rights, and organizing and facilitating Title IX hearings and appeals.
  • Assists the Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards and the Title IX Office with the implementation of
  • Title IX process and procedures, Title IX education, and training and support for the university student community.
  • Oversees recruitment, selection, and training of staff who serve on Title IX hearings.
  • Manages the student conduct software database Maxient and trains community members on how to use features.
  • Provide direct supervision to full-time professional staff and paraprofessional staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Facilitate multiple forms of alternative dispute resolution such as mediations, facilitated dialogues, restorative justice practices, educational conference, etc..
  • Occasionally chair the Administrative Review Committee.
  • Maintains records and disseminates information as appropriate. Conducts case analyses and assesses trends related to Title IX. Creates and distributes reports and statistics related to Title IX.
  • Design and implement programs on ethical decision making, substance abuse education, civility, community expectations, and bystander intervention.
  • Oversee the preparation of training materials related to Title IX, special and periodic reports, and grant proposals.
  • Monitors policies and laws related to Title IX.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. 


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with five(5) years experience; -OR-Associate's degree with seven (7) years experience; -OR-nine (9) years experience. Degree must be in a related field; experience must be related. Experience also requires at least three (3) years supervision.


Perferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree with two (2) year experience; Degree must be in a related field.  Experience must be in student conduct or related field and database management.
