About UC Clermont

UC Clermont is an open-admissions, regional campus thirty miles east of the University of Cincinnati in Batavia, Ohio, with an enrollment of approximately 3000 students. The college offers a variety of certificates, transfer programs, two-year associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees.

Job Overview

UC Clermont College is seeking qualified instructors to teach American Sign Language. Applications are being accepted to teach online synchronous and/or face-to-face part-time for the upcoming terms (as needed).

Essential Functions

  • On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate courses to a diverse set of students.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities.
  • Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
  • Instructors are responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and assessments.
  • Use UC’s course management system (Canvas)
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with students
  • Complete any trainings required by the college
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Academic degree in an appropriate discipline, minimum bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred
  • Teaching experience, preferably college-level
  • Native or near-native proficiency in ASL
  • Online teaching experience
