Adjunct Assistant Professor- Educator (0.75 FTE)

Final rank and title will be commensurate with education and experience.

 

Position Responsibilities: The Adjunct Assistant Professor is primarily responsible for teaching assigned courses in all tracks of the Advanced Medical Imaging Technology program.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: primary instruction of didactic, laboratory and clinical courses using face-to-face and online delivery modalities; participation in recruitment, retention, and admissions and advising activities; participation in program committee work including program evaluation, accreditation tasks, and other program tasks.  Participation in scholarship and/or service to the department and college are also required.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master degree in Education
  • Baccalaureate degree in Medical Imaging
  • National certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Three years of experience in teaching and/or clinical coordination in an imaging program at the college level
  • Professional experience as an imaging technologist in both Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Current knowledge and skill in the use of computer technology and educational learning systems
  • Prior online teaching experience in an advanced medical imaging program
  • Prior accreditation experience in an advanced medical imaging program
  • Experience in college service
  • Strong organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills, including communication, problem solving, counseling, conflict management, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to take direction and coordinate work with colleagues and peers
