A federally-funded nursing research study led by Carolyn Smith, PhD, RN is seeking male and female UC CON undergraduate students to join their team. The study is testing a technology-based health promotion intervention targeting at-risk teens. The student would serve in the role of LAY HEALTH WORKER.

 

Job responsibilities of the LAY HEALTH WORKER include:

  • Conducting counseling sessions with study participants using FaceTime
  • Review goals and progress toward goals with study participants
  • Coordinating counseling session appointments
  • Participating in weekly research team meetings

 

Students would need to commit to working up to 10 hours per week at the UC CON – typically afternoon and evening hours. This position pays $9.00 per hour, begins in Fall 2017 and ends in Spring 2019. Students must attend a mandatory training scheduled September 7-9, 2017. Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Current University of Cincinnati College of Nursing Students.
