A new Postdoctoral Fellow position in cutaneous biology and cancer biology is available at the University of Cincinnati Winkle College of Pharmacy, Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The estimated start date is 9/1/2017.

 

The successful candidate will focus research efforts on 1) the elucidation of molecular mechanisms underlying melanomagenesis and the melanoma microenvironment and 2) the development of novel therapeutic approaches for melanoma prevention and treatment using a variety of molecular, cellular and genetic approaches. The position is available immediately for a one-year initial appointment, and could be extended based on performance. The successful candidate will enjoy a stimulating research environment at the UC Academic Health Center, a competitive salary and benefit package, and an affordable, Midwest-style cost of living in the multicultural city of Cincinnati, OH.

 

Minimum Qualifications:   Ph.D. degree in biological sciences or related field. Highly motivated candidates with research experience in melanoma research and skin biology and strong publication record will be considered. Candidates must also have a solid background in human skin culture techniques and in animal models of disease.
