As such, under the guidance of the Office of the Provost, the university is establishing a new state-of-the-art Faculty Enrichment Center (FEC) that will serve as the intellectual and social commons for faculty and is intended to enrich faculty, foster collaborations, and build community using inclusive and innovative programs and high-quality workspaces.


The Office of the Provost is currently seeking a Manager of Special Projects and Programs who will support the Executive Director of the Faculty Enrichment Center by assisting in the daily operations of the center. A commitment to process improvement, equity and inclusion, and professional development are essential values associated with this position. 


The primary duties of this position include:

  • Assisting the Executive Director in the management of daily operations.
  • Creating policies, procedures, and practices that optimize operations and maximize performance.
  • Conducting research on faculty development programs and best-practices.
  • Assisting the Executive Director with the planning, implementation, and assessment of programs and events.
  • Collaborating with the media specialist to publicize programs and events.
  • Partnering with the FEC faculty and staff advisory group to identify and execute core programs.
  • Assisting the Executive Director in eliciting feedback from stakeholders and constituents.
  • Report writing and the creation of presentations.
  • Event planning.
  • Purchasing and fiscal management.
  • Executing all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of the FEC.
  • Supervision of co-op students or other student employees.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with three years of relevant experience or associate’s degree with five year's experience or seven years' experience in a related field.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing a spending within a budget.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years' experience working in higher education.
  • Supervisory experience.
