The College of Medicine, Department of Pathology is looking for a Sr. Research Assistant. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

 

Job Summary: As a Sr. Research Assistant in the Mouse Metabolic Phenotype Center (funded by the National Institutes of Health) directed by Dr. Patrick Tso.  The duties will include participating in the design and carrying out research projects studying energy metabolism, biochemical assays, various immunoassays, gas chromatography, Western blotting,  lipoprotein metabolism, atherosclerosis, and various diabetic studies.  Previous experience of working with animals is preferred. The successful candidate is also expected to enter the data using Excel Spreadsheet and also presenting the data in graphic form.  The successful candidate will also have to manage laboratory supplies and ordering and work semi-independently. 

 

Minimum QualificationsBachelor Degree in science related field, or certified veterinary technician with some work experience.
