Under the supervision of a designated administrator, the Director of Partnership Development will develop and execute a strategic plan to increase new external and internal partnerships, as well as strengthen and solidify existing partner relationships.  This role will lead the partnership development team and collaborate with external employers as well as campus stakeholders to develop processes and practices that result in seamless connections and relationships of the Co-op 2.0 program.

 

Characteristic Duties

  • Develop long-term strategies based on continual and thorough analysis of industry/employment trends and university needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to forecast co-op program needs, develop and implement action plans, and report progress to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and coordinate across various key entities to develop common practices/processes, strategically use systems and develop common communication systems.
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in partnership development including outreach, customer relationship management, follow-up and closing, and other effective relationship maintenance strategies.
  • Lead a partnership development team responsible for meeting and ensuring the execution of measurable targets and deliverables.
  • May manage a staff of exempt and/or non-exempt employees within the unit.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of experience. 
  • Experience must be in field of sales and/or business development.
