The University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business is seeking a Data Analytics Manager (Business Data Reporting Analyst) to provide a wide range of data analysis for the college.  The Data Analytics Manager will support data analytics needs across the College to better inform programming, recruiting, accreditation, and overall resource allocation. The position will also involve in-depth scholarship resource analysis for assisting with award and recruitment strategy.  The scholarship analysis duties may have seasonal periods that require more concentrated time during the academic year.  This position will report to the Associate Deans and have dotted line responsibility to the College’s Business Officer.  Please visit http://business.uc.edu/ to learn more about the Carl H. *Note to applicant: This is a temporary full-time position for up to a maximum of a two (2) year period. This position may be extended beyond the end date depending on business necessity, performance and funding availability.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Collect, analyze and interpret data that will assist the college in developing, managing and enhancing programs
  • Organize and analyze data from institutional research, enterprise level systems such as Catalyst, Course Evaluation, UC Flex, and Tableau servers as well as from within the college
  • Benchmark data  with other UC units and external resources such as the Associate to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) to assist in assessing opportunities and challenges
  • Enhance effective data collection and reporting through comprehensive research design and methodology support
  • Partner with Institutional Research and other to establish and utilize university best practices to collect custom data and conduct analyses to identify college operational and financial gaps and opportunities
  • Identify relevant external data resources for comparative analyses
  • Produce comprehensive and relevant data analyses and reporting – both scheduled and ad hoc
  • Ensure efficient and accurate responses to institutional and departmental data requests.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related degree with three (3) years of experience; or an Associate's degree with five (5) years of experience; or a combination of relevant education and seven (7) years of experience. Experience should include, reporting, ETL processing and/or background in in complex data analysis techniques.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting, finance or related field with data analysis experience.
  • Incumbent must possess the quantitative/business/fiscal experience to be fully proficient in performing most or all work assignments.
  • Substantial data analysis experience, preferably in the field of higher education.
