The Cellular Therapies Division of Hoxworth Blood Center is seeking two (2) Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to support our rapidly growing Immunotherapy program and assist with production and characterization of antigen-specific lymphocytes for clinical trial use.  This position will perform routine cell selection and cell culture operations as well as process development and process improvement experiments for the production of novel cellular therapy products.  This position will also participate in laboratory operations that support clinical cell processing: maintaining supply inventories, performing equipment validations and quality control test procedures; writing Standard Operating Procedures, (SOPs), generating reports, etc. 


Dedication to quality patient service is a must.  Ability to be flexible with working hours is required.  ASCP Certification, prior pharmaceutical production experience, or hematology research experience preferred.  Candidate must pass both the UC and the CCHMC background checks to be eligible for this position.


Minimum Qualifications

BS and MT (ASCP), BB (ASCP) or CHT (ABHI); -OR- Bachelor’s degree and registry eligible; -OR- Bachelor’s degree and HEW certified medical technologist with three (3) years related experience; -OR- MLT with four (4) years related experience.  Degree must be in biological science or related field.
