The College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services (CECH), seeks a Business Manager in the Advancement and Transition Services (ATS) to work closely with program directors to maximize financial resources and ensure the sustainability of our programs and services.

The mission of ATS is to foster quality life experiences for people with disabilities through innovative research, education and services.

 

Professional employees engaged in the day-to-day business manager duties, direct supervisory responsibilities and management responsibilities for a wide range of projects/tasks associated with primary business operations within ATS. Additionally, the business manager will organize, maintain, and analyze budgets, and provide recommendation and advice to ATS leadership based upon budget analysis. The business manager will carry out work procedures and activities in accordance with local, state, federal, and university regulations.

 

Primary Duties

  • Manage the financial, administrative, and operational activities of a large and diversified unit with a considerable income generation component
  • Oversee the planning and supervision of the fiscal administrative activities of this unit
  • Coordinate budget preparation and may monitor grants and contracts
  • Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures
  • May determine purchasing priorities and make recommendations for major capital expenditures
  • Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations
  • Analyze budgets and make recommendations to leaderships based upon budget analysis
  • Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Coordinate personnel functions for ATS
  • Serves as a seasoned and proficient professional
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with three (3) years’ experience - OR- Associate's degree and five (5) years’ experience -OR- seven (7) years’ experience.
  • Degree must be in Business Administration or related field.
  • Financial and administrative experience is required and must include one (1) year of supervision.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education business management, with business/fiscal experience.
