The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for multiple full-time tenure-track faculty positions (Requisition #23463). 


Successful candidates will conduct research in one of the following areas: (1) cardiovascular engineering and/or (2) regenerative medicine/tissue engineering. They will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their expertise, develop externally funded research programs, publish research results in peer-reviewed journals, advise graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in professional service. In addition, the successful candidates will participate in curriculum and course development. Rank, tenure, salary and startup funding will be negotiated commensurate with qualifications and experience.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field is required. 


The Department of Biomedical Engineering currently has 32 associated faculty members and an enrollment of about 325 undergraduate and 40 graduate students. The Department offers an ABET-accredited undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering. The department also has graduate programs that confer Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The Department has research focus areas in Cardiovascular Engineering, Medical Device Design, Medical Imaging, and Regenerative Medicine/Tissue Engineering.
