This position offers a hybrid work schedule for individuals residing within OH/IN/KY. Residents must be located within the Cincinnati Tri-State area and have reasonable proximity to the UC Main Campus to fulfill on-campus requirements as needed. Remote work arrangements are subject to university policies and may be subject to change.

Job Overview

Primary marketing leader for UC Online, overseeing the strategy and operations of marketing UC’s online programs supported by UC Online, including advertising, communication, and research.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the development and implementation of integrated, strategic marketing and communication plans and activities for UC’s online program portfolio.
  • Design and implement a strategic, goal based, data-driven marketing and communications plan in alignment with the vision of the university, and online education market across multiple channels, website, social media, and other digital platforms, collateral development, and advertising.
  • Initiate and maintain research and analytics to keep informed of UC’s current online brand position relative to competitors, the effectiveness of marketing and communication activities, and the potential marketing and brand challenges to UC and higher education.
  • Assist in the development of student recruiting materials to ensure integration with the university brand.
  • Monitor communication and marketing trends to identify and appropriately implement strategies to ensure continued visibility with key online audiences.
  • Convey the value proposition of UC’s online programs, including degree outcomes, to ensure consistent and thoughtful messaging.
  • Increase student engagement from prospect through matriculation. Leverage the richness of UC’s online students, faculty, staff, and alumni in storytelling.
  • Collaborate closely with colleges to cultivate a transparent and data-driven environment, fostering informed decision-making processes by furnishing college and program leadership with comprehensive insights into marketing analytics, budget allocation, inquiry volumes, and other pertinent metrics.
  • Drive the development of a modern marketing function that utilizes new platforms, technologies, and platforms to create digital communities and customer journeys to engage students across generations.
  • Cultivate data-driven, high-impact, and results-oriented marketing practices to enroll an increasingly high-achieving and diverse student body across academic disciplines.
  • Drive student traffic to UC’s online program websites, and event/information session attendance by designing and implementing content for consumption across traditional/digital/social media/streaming marketing approaches.
  • Plan, direct and implement marketing and communication budgets according to organizational goals and brand positioning efforts.
  • Oversee external marketing partnerships and act as the primary point of contact for all marketing-related agencies and functions.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervisor to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e. hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

Required Experience

Ten (10) years of experience in marketing, communications, branding, or other related experience, to include five (5) years of executive-level leadership in marketing, communications, and branding in higher education.
